Coral Hospitality Announces
New Corporate Team Members
Naples, FL (October 22, 2004) - Due to the recent growth of its portfolio as well as the expansion of client services, Coral Hospitality has restructured its corporate team and tapped two new Vice President positions. Marc Bauer has become the VP of Hotel Operations/Sales & Marketing and Chuck Katan moves into VP of Business Development.

As Vice President of Hotel Operations/Sales & Marketing, Bauer will be responsible for the overall operations and marketing of the Coral Hospitality hotel portfolio, which currently includes The Blue Moon Hotel, WinterHaven Hotel and Essex House Hotel & Suites located in Miami Beach; Chesapeake Resort in Islamorada; Casa Ybel Resort in Sanibel Island; Grand Inn in Naples; Vero Beach Hotel & Club and Palm Court Resort in Vero Beach; and Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club in Cordele, Georgia. His most recent position was Managing Director of the two hotels in Vero Beach, where he will remain closely involved.
Bauer brings a solid knowledge of all hotel disciplines and a background that includes both large hotels and resorts and boutique properties. He began his career early and was placed on the promotional fast track at Marriott's Bay Point Resort in Panama City Beach, where he gained considerable experience in the Rooms Division. Marc learned management and food and beverage operations as the General Manager of The Inn on Fifth in Naples. He has held positions of increasing responsibility at Coral-managed properties within the sales and catering departments as well as hotel manager. Bauer is a graduate of Florida State University.
Katan will spearhead Coral Hospitality's strategic plan to grow. He will expand the hotel and condominium resort divisions, focusing on new relationships and contracts. He will also consult on the overall marketing of the company.
Chuck Katan began his work with Coral Hospitality in 1999. As President of The Coral Collection of Fine Hotels & Resorts, he developed its integrated sales and marketing program. His role was to position the company's hotel portfolio in the consumer, trade and industry markets. He developed and supervised the domestic and international sales and promotional programs of the company's sales force.
Katan's experience spans more than 25 years as a senior marketing and sales professional in the hotel industry. He has worked with leading hotel companies including Noble House Hotels, Resorts and Hideaways; InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, where he developed start up activities for its Global Partner division; and The Continental Companies. He also established a Marriott's sales and reservation network among 12 Latin American countries, as well as created opening strategies for numerous new hotels. Katan holds degrees from New York University and Cornell.
