Coral Hospitality Honors Mike Dopslaff as General Manager of the Year

(October 10, 2005) Naples, FL - Coral Hospitality, a full-service hospitality management company, honored Mike Dopslaff as General Manager of the Year. He was selected from more than thirty general managers throughout Florida and Georgia, and awarded among his peers during the annual GM’s conference in August. Dopslaff joined the Coral Hospitality team as General Manager/Director of Golf for the Arrowhead Golf Club in October 2002.

Dopslaff made his mark at Arrowhead by creating the best environment possible for golfers and his staff -- providing warm, friendly service, a challenging course, and creative programs. “My role at the club is to ensure a quality experience for our patrons,” he explains. “We do this by retaining motivated staff and exceeding our customer’s expectations in all areas.” Dopslaff credits the course’s recent accomplishments, receiving the Naples Daily News “Star Award” for ‘Naples Favorite Places To Play’ in 2004 and ‘Best Public Golf Course’ in 2005, to each staff member at the club.

According to Coral Hospitality’s CEO Lee Weeks, “Mike is a perfect example of what Coral looks for in its leadership team. He rolls up his sleeves and creates an environment at Arrowhead that rivals some of the larger, private clubs. He sets the bar high for his team and builds trust and enthusiasm in the local golf community. Mike’s commitment to quality and consistent reliability has changed the direction at Arrowhead and we are proud to honor him with this recognition.”

Dopslaff is quite an accomplished player, and has been honored four times as the “Player of the Year” by the Southwestern Chapter of the South Florida PGA. Prior to joining Coral, he served as Head Golf Professional at Fiddlesticks County Club in Fort Myers, and General Manager and Head PGA Professional at Lexington Country Club in Fort Myers. He also managed the Country Club of Ozark in Alabama. He has worked with PGA of America in several roles as a committee chairman and member, and shared his expertise of the game serving as a PGA teaching professional at numerous clubs, including Essex County Club in Manchester, Massachusetts and Foxfire Country Club in Naples, Florida.

Arrowhead Golf Club opened in the spring of 1998 and has become known as a course for all types of golfers. Designed by noted architect Gordon G. Lewis, the club features eighteen pristine holes that weave among sixteen lakes. Arrowhead’s spacious greens and wide landing areas provide a course that is friendly to high handicappers, but also presents a challenge for more skilled golfers with well-placed bunkers and water hazards.

Based in Naples, Florida, Coral Hospitality is a full service management company with a diverse portfolio of hotels, condominiums, and clubs. Currently managing a collection of more than 30 properties throughout Florida and Georgia, Coral operates each with a core belief in providing thoughtful service in unique surroundings.
